Hello!

I just wanted to send out a quick message, introduce myself, and assure you that we're going to have a great semester together here at San Diego Mesa College.

My name is Jason Kalchik. This is my twelfth year teaching. I love what I do, and I care about my students and put helping them achieve success at the top of my list of priorities. I am looking forward to meeting you all and working together!

What you can do to prepare for success in our class:

Show up early, and avoid the stress of a hectic first day
Complete work each day, way ahead of schedule to not let it pile up and stress you out
Take notes! write your thoughts in a journal or notebook and in the margins of printed copies of texts, practice double entry journaling or annotate with digital tools
Bring a positive attitude and you'll have a positive experience
Bring your curiosity; bring your interests, talents, and expertise!
Bring a desire to push yourself and grow
Participate and share your thoughts and feelings!
